February 2020 Issue

February already?  Where did the time go?   Winter's  closing out FAST, and that means the weather should be slowly moderating for the bulk of the country.  Plans for your flying vacations should be gelling, and the CPS Gathering in Cody WY should be first on your list of priorities!  August 4, thru August 8, 2020.

CPS Gatherings are special.  Family and friend oriented activities mean your entire 'airplane support staff' will have a blast.  They will not be bored to tears at yet another airshow (begging to go home early).  They will THANK YOU for taking them along on what will be an adventure that makes memories for a lifetime.  Be a heroe. Join in.

Destinations!  Cody WY.     Tuesday, 08-04-2020 thru Saturday 08-08-2020

Jim Atnip is hosting our gathering from Tuesday 08-04-2020 thru Saturday 08-08-2020 (note the shift in dates to start on Tuesday and conclude on Saturday).  Jim's got a dedicated website up for our gathering.  Our reserved Hotel Block is filling, but there's still room for you and your crew.  Time to make reservations.  This is not something to be missed.

Op Ed:   What You Are:

Society, Community, a gathering of kindred souls.   We take part in a daily ritual.  Some gather intel on the latest ways to meet the challenges of operating aging aircraft (the 210 guys right now are doing a terrific job sharing knowledge on how to address the carry through spar inspections as an example).  Some go to Pilot Techniques for self-improvement, some add a blurb of experience to give a boost to those looking to up their game.

You guys and gals do good work.   It is easy to 'take', but a bit more effort to contribute.  CPS is privileged to have folks that make the effort as contributors forming the backbone of a solid group.
If it has been a while since you posted, we're anxious to read your perspectives.  If you've learned something by reading along through the years, consider a post next time your experience might guide a fellow Member.  When you teach, you learn again....

" Long you live and high you fly
And smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry
And all you touch and all you see
Is all your life will ever be.
